The GT family uses the same hybrid planing hull technology proven in racing and commercial boats. This allows the combination of speed, stability, and shallow draft needed for effective operation whether uncrewed or optionally manned.

The composite construction insulates against the cold, providing superior all-weather performance. The GT family can be customized to accommodate a variety of electronics and customer-furnished weapons systems. The GT family is designed for landing on the beach or in a well deck of a larger mothership.

Decades of accumulated knowledge and experience in the design, operation, and construction of racing, commercial, and pleasure vessels, combined with advanced simulation methods, have culminated in the GT family of high-performance power catamarans.

GT catamarans utilize a unique and patented hull shape that evolved from prior successful Morrelli & Melvin high-performance designs into the GT powercats’ semi-asymmetric demihull cross sections and carefully engineered transverse steps. GTs simultaneously provide best in class speed and efficiency, low vertical accelerations, excellent high-speed maneuvering characteristics, and rock-solid dynamic stability. These features collectively allow operation at high speeds on the open ocean with reduced fatigue and a lower probability of injury or equipment failure.

For the ultimate in efficiency, ride quality, and handling, these vessels can be fitted with hydrofoils. Resistance and fuel economy improvements of up to 25-40% may be realized with the advanced foil system, which is recommended for most GT catamaran applications operating at less than 50 knots. Larger engines can be used to attain higher speeds when needed.

The monocoque design is minimally manned by a crew of one (1) or two (2) or can be upgraded to uncrewed. It affords flexibility to carry modular packages, allowing rapid-ready refit for missions to occur quickly and safely.

Built with advanced composite manufacturing techniques, the GT family of vessels often can be produced in six (6) to nine (9) months, depending on the options selected.
